Liadou Original

The Liadou tells the story of a knife once used by the winemakers of Marcillac to split wicker and bind the vines into a crown.
The liadou, a « binding tool » in Occitan, was a sturdy and reliable folding knife, with a wide blade pointing downwards and a firm, springy flat-spring mechanism.
Disappeared in the mid-20th century with the advent of wire trellising, the Liadou is now making a strong comeback, reflecting the very soul of its terroir.
