Under the supervision of heritage architects, the Conques town council carried out major restoration work to renovate the roof and timber framework of the Sainte-Foy abbey church.
The Conques town council and Le Liadou du Vallon came up with the idea of giving new value to the oak from the old timber framework by creating a beautiful object steeped in history, embodying the link between the vineyards of Marcillac and the Sainte-Foy abbey church: Le Liadou de Conques.
With an oak handle taken from the abbey church's recently dismantled old timber framework, this exceptional Liadou is produced in a limited series of 1000 pieces. The 12 cm handle is shaped by hand. The spring is numbered and engraved with a pattern taken from one of the abbey's capitals. The liners are solid brass. The blade is made of Sandvik 14C28 stainless steel, offering cutting performance, high hardness and very good corrosion resistance. It is handmade in our workshop in Marcillac-Vallon, Aveyron. The registered trademark Le Liadou du Vallon® guarantees the quality, origin and authenticity of its products.
This unique Liadou is sold in a luxurious gift box accompanied by a booklet devoted to Conques and its link with the Liadou.

This knife is made with the greatest care. The handle materials are carefully selected. It is shaped by hand. The blade is made from the highest-performing steels and bears the registered trademark Le Liadou du Vallon®, guaranteeing the quality and origin of its products.
If, despite all our efforts, a manufacturing defect causing a fault or mechanical failure of the blade, spring, tang, liners, pins or screws were to appear, we undertake to repair the defective knife and send it back to you free of charge.

This knife is made in our workshop in Marcillac, Aveyron, France. Its assembly, polishing and sharpening are carried out exclusively by hand in the purest cutlery tradition, that is to say by one and the same cutler.
The registered trademark Le Liadou du Vallon® stamped on its blade guarantees its quality and origin.
